MEET THE CHEF:

Born and raised in New Orleans,Chef Maudie Schmitthas an extensive restaurant heritage and learned to cook from the many great chefs in her own lively family. She taught special education for 23 years until deciding to open a restaurant. Cafe Rue Orleansopened in 2001 and has been blessed with much success in the NWA area.Chef Maudie recently competed on Food Network’s Supermarket Stakeout where she was a runner up!
