While this amber honey’s smoking hot brother (Chipotle Pepper Infused Honey) combines smoky flavors with heat, this artisan honey is astraightforward combination of flavors. Those who enjoy simple sweet heat will enjoy this pepper infused raw honey.
Traditionally called the Chile De Arbol, the Arbol pepper is of Mexican descent. Having a Scoville value of 30,000, it is similar in heat value to Jalapeo and Cayenne peppers. The Arbol pepper provides this honey with a medium level of heat… enough to announce it’s presence, but not enough to cause tears.
Don’t forget the dressing! Combine the following and toss with greens, grilled chicken, and Asian noodles for the perfect refreshing salad dressing.
– 2 Tbsp Arbol Pepper Infused Honey
– 2 tsp soy sauce
– 1 Tbsp sesame oil
– 1/4 cup oil
Joanne and Randall launched Cloister Honey quite by accident. It wasn’t intended to be a business, but the delicious nectar from their hobby was in such demand that it has morphed into their dream business. Cloister Honey is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, “where life is always sweet” on the bee farm.
