An outsanding culinary tool crafted in Nagano, Japan by the skilled bladesmith Jiro Nakagawa is proudly offered here in pre-owned, unused, like-new condition. This sough-after gyuto is forged by hand from Shirogami White No.1 high-carbon steel san mai to produce a thin, razor sharp, 245mm / 9.6″ edge beneath superbly shaped convex bevels. Standing 57mm tall at the heel with a deep belly and thin, low tip, this large chef’s knife will make a fine kitchen workhorse for even the most discerning cooks. The blade’s spine flares into a wide collar and tang that enters a traditional, octagonal wa handle of Taihei Tagayasan wood with buffalo horn. Original box is included.
