What does it take to reinvent the coffee space? That’s the question posed and answered by the Stone Lite Espresso Machine. This super compact heat exchanger is surprisingly sophisticated, starting with its unique electrically heated brew group that helps the machine reach full brew ready temperature in just 10 minutes. Coupled with its heat exchanger boiler, the Stone Lite is rapidly ready for simultaneous brewing and steaming, while maintaining a small footprint on your counter top at just under 9″ wide
The key to the Stone Lite’s impressive performance is its unique electrically heated group which actually plays a role heating brew water before it reaches the portafilter. Inside the group is a PID regulated, 200W heating element that actively raises the temperature of the water as it leaves the heat exchanger. This results in the twofold benefit of reducing the total heat-up time necessary to brew and steam while also helping to maintain consistent extraction temperature.
Internally the machine is equipped with a 1.5L boiler with 0.8L of the space dedicated to steam. Brew pressure is supplied by a vibration pump and the Stone is supplied with water from a 1.2L reservoir. The smaller capacities come with the territory on such a compact machine and should be considered if the machine would be placed in a particularly high volume household. Unlike many heat exchanger machines, the Stone Lite does not have a hot water wand so it’s truly a machine for espresso and milk lovers.
If you love milk drinks but have been restricted by limitations of a full-sized machine, the Stone Lite fits the bill perfectly. It’s the smallest heat exchanger machine we’ve ever carried and despite that it features rapid heat-up thanks to its PID regulated and electrically heated group. In just 10 minutes you can be slinging lattes and cappuccinos with one of the most compact and style forward machines on the market.
