Learn the fundamentals of good knife skills from the experts in the HKS kitchen. Chef Bernard from ZWILLING, a leader in manufacturinghigh quality knives, pans, and flatware, will teach you what makes a quality knife, which knife to use for each task, and how to maintain and clean your knives. From brunois to julienne, you will get hands-on experience mastering a range of essential cutting techniques using ZWILLINGs Pro Series knife kits a total of seven different knives.

In addition to leaving with some impressive new knife skills, your ticket purchase also includes a4-inch ZWILLING Pro Paring Knife (a $74.99 value) to start building your collection at home. Plus, we’ll provide charcuterie to keep you fueled and focused for this educational class (and all those sharp knives!). No alcohol will be served during class while we are working with the knives. However, we will have a specialty cocktail for you to enjoy while you shop at the end of class. Are you ready to slice and dice like a pro? Tickets are priced per person.

MEET THE CHEF:

Bernard Janssen currently serves as Executive Chef and Culinary Program Manager for ZWILLING J.A. Henckels. Additionally, Bernard launched the first US ZWILLING Culinary Studio at the company headquarters in Pleasantville, New York, offering cooking classes, product trainings, and private events.

Originally from The Netherlands, Bernard has over twenty years of culinary experience working as an Executive Chef in restaurants and cooking schools internationally. He travelled Europe to host trainings and demos for the Zwilling Group. Bernards cooking style specializes in inventive flavor combinations with a flair for creating beautiful plate presentations. Using this expertise, he often writes original recipes for retail partners and travels across the country for product trainings, trade shows, retail, and cooking events supporting all premium brands falling under the ZWILLING J.A. Henckels umbrella like Staub, Demeyere, Miyabi, and Ballarini.
